Group Classes
Basic Training
Teams will learn basic cues and behaviors using a clicker, and proven positive reinforcement methods. Handlers will learn techniques to build a lifelong relationship with their dogs and ways to improve the team’s ability to work together.
Intermediate Training
This class builds on the skills learned in basic class and helps handlers learn to “read” their dogs using shaping exercises. A number of games are played as well as an introduction to props. Teams also prepare for CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test, and take test during final class. Prerequisite: Basic training class and/or instructor approval.
Advanced Training
Get ready for the CGCA or CGCU Test! All the exercises in the AKC CGCA test are covered in great detail and practiced. A heavy emphasis is placed on proofing behaviors for distracting environments and we even take the show on the road, weather permitting. The sixth class is the actual CGCA or CGCU test. Prerequisite: Intermediate training class and/or instructor approval.
